Weightlifting Weekender
An express but comprehensive experience in the sport of weightlifting
Course details
Our 'Weightlifting Weekender' is the perfect taster experience if you're brand new to the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. Or, if you've been lifting for a little while already, it's a great opportunity to go back to basics, refresh your knowledge and refine your movement.

There will never be more than 11 other people lifting alongside you, meaning our British Weigh Lifting qualified coaches will be on hand to offer you personal guidance and coaching tips at any time.
​
By the end of the weekend, you'll have received a comprehensive introduction to the world of weightlifting, and a real-life taster into what the sport can offer you. If you're brushing up on existing skills, it means you can return to your weightlifting or CrossFit classes equipped with a new-found confidence!

How we teach
With over 8 years experience in coaching beginners, we are expertly placed to guide you through the first steps in your Olympic Weightlifting journey. Our coaching style means that you’ll receive real-time feedback from the coach on duty, allowing you to adapt quickly and make the most out of your training sessions. We understand that every body is different, and we’re on the ball. Where appropriate, you’ll also receive individual exercise selections, drills or sometimes even a bit of homework to ensure you’re always learning and progressing. There will be opportunities to load weight, but the primary focus will be on safe technique and learning the various positions required to make a successful lift.

Complete beginners who are brand new to the sport

Anyone with 0-2 years experience in a CrossFit or similar environment and would like to improve their weightlifting skills
